WE SELL PLANT NUTRIENTS & ADDITIVES

You require a healthy environment that encourages your plants to reach their maximum potential.  Plant nutrients enable your plants to grow quicker and stronger.  We are certain that some nutrients in some cases provide better performance or pH stability than others.  However, personal experience and subjectivity rules the day.

If you find a nutrient you like and you are sure it performs well then that's fine.  However, If you are unhappy with your results then experiment with another make, or a combination of makes and products until you find those which perform best.

Growing Plants with Hydrophonic nutrients We stock a full range of popular nutrients and can provide a great deal of useful advice.  Nutrients are a very important part of the hydroponic growing process and we have sourced the best nutrients that are available on the market today.  Generally speaking, there are grow nutrients (for young plants and vegetative growth) and bloom nutrients (for flowering and fruiting).

It is true that plant "foods" for soil are not suitable for hydroponics, but is quite possible to use hydroponic solutions for soil growing and achieve great improvements this way, because the plant is fully supplied in a way it may not have been before.

CONTROL OF NUTRIENTS LEVELS: HYDROPONICS SHOP ADVICE

The advantage of hydroponic growing is that everything is automatic and anything can be adjusted and controlled by the grower.  You have total control over the nutrients levels of your plants to make them grow bigger in an efficient way.  However, a word of caution, while using hydroponics nutrients formula for the optimum growth of plants:

Below are few symptoms your plants can show if there is an inadequate supply of important nutrients.
  1. Nitrogen: Nitrogen deficiency leads to change in the color from light green to yellowish. And if the deficiency is extreme then you'll see a purple touch on the stems and leaves of your plants. But, excess supply of nitrogen can destroy the roots and may slow down the flowering phase of your plants.
  2. Phosphorus: Lack of phosphorus in your plants result improper growth of roots and flowers with dark leaves. The color of your leaves will change to red or purple. Remember, sometimes the nutrients solution is cold which may reduce the uptake of nutrients; this can cause indirect deficiency of phosphorus.
  3. Potassium: If your leaves are turning black with spots then that may be you plants are suffering from potassium deficiency. In the beginning it occurs on the bigger leaves. It can also harm your fruits and flowers.
  4. Magnesium: Magnesium deficiency is the most trouble caused to hydroponics plant; it results change of color to yellow from the edges.
Hydroponic Plant Suppliments - Nutrients
  1. Calcium: When your small plants look abnormal and small it is due to the calcium deficiency.
  2. Iron: Like calcium, iron deficiency also affects the younger ones. In severe iron deficiency the leaves look white and pale. Extreme cold water can also result iron deficiency.
  3. Manganese: Manganese deficiency causes trouble to the older leaves. Also, over dose of manganese can cause iron deficiency.
  4. Copper: This deficiency is rarely found in plants because most plants don't need copper to grow. However, it can cause weakening of plants and over dose can cause your hydroponic plants look abnormally dark with decreased branches.
  5. Boron: Boron deficiency disturbs the growth of leaves.
